Our Homemade Recipe for Success (Investing Systems)

Back in September I wrote about our family’s wine making tradition.

Come January/February, another culinary tradition descends upon us – cured meats! In particular, a staple every year is our Italian Sopressata (it’s essentially salalmi).

Long before the charcuterie board became a mainstream thing, our family was getting together once a year and slaving away for a whole weekend preparing these salty cured meats, and then another three months or so curing them.

Growing up I hated this tradition.  Mostly because my parents would give us very little notice.  Basically, on a Friday morning we would be told that we would have to cancel any plans that weekend because it is “salami weekend”.

As I got older, I started to appreciate it a bit more.  Eventually I even started a new salami making tradition with some good buddies.  It started with just a few of us, but over a seven year period it has grown to a good sized group, and we have a blast.  Unfortunately, this year, for obvious pandemic related reasons, we had to cancel with our buddies.

But there was zero chance our parents were going to let covid-19 stand in the way of them and their cured meats.

So last weekend Mike and I went to my parents house, rolled up our sleeves and went to work.  See the fruits of our labour below:

I bring this up for a reason…

Over the years we’ve become extremely efficient at making salami..  What used to take a full three-day weekend, now takes one full day.  Why? Because rather than just going through the motions, and doing things a certain way because “that’s how it’s always been done”, we question and look for better ways to do things.  Over the last several years, we’ve developed a system that has allowed us to save time, save money, require less physical labour and ultimately produce (in our humble opinion) a better end product.

A System is defined as a set of principles or procedures according to which something is done; an organized framework or method.

Systems are important because they provide predictable results.

No system, no predictable results.

The February issue of our Canadian Cashflownaire letter is about…. (you guesed it!) SYSTEMS!

Specifically, the newsletter breaks down how to use systems to improve in various areas of our life.

Mike and I use systems for just about everything we do.  Especially financially.  Some we’ve created on our own, others we have borrowed from people we admire.  When you become a Canadian Cashflownaire Member, we share many of these investing systems with you:

The Daily Wealth Operating System, Manufactured Home Investment System, The Complete Rent-to-Own System, System for Using Rent to Pay for College, System for Creating Cashflow in the Stock Market, The Complete Build-to-Rent Real Estate System…. Just to name a few.

Systems are all around us.  You may not even notice, but some of the thigs you do best in life probably has to do with the fact that you take a systematic approach to it. Pay attention, and see if you notice it.

Until Next Time..

Vince & Mike

P.S. The Canadian Cashflownaire Plan is a system.  This is a system that consists of building cashflow pipelines and paying down debt.  The predictable result: The Position of FU!

P.P.S. Sign up today and maybe we ill even share with you our system for making Italian Sopressata lol

P.P.S. September is when we make Tomato Sauce – just wait til you hear about that system!
